How can I track my time? How can I complete my task effectively? How to complete a task within a specific time? These are the questions that we continuously ask ourselves. But no matter how much effort we put in, we are unable to maximize our results.
What is POMODORO TECHNIQUE?
Recently, I came up with an interesting technique known as “POMODORO TECHNIQUE”. Probably, many of you might have already heard of this technique. But let’s check out, how it helps us manage our time to complete some task and also my observations on it.
- Break your workday into 25-minute Intervals.
- Take five-minute breaks during these intervals.
- After about four Intervals, you take a longer break of about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Keep repeating the loop until your task gets completed.
I really liked this method and I will continue to implement this technique whenever I need to complete my most urgent and important task. There were a few times when I tried to ignore the timer and continue working. But, I forced myself to stick to the format and this helped me to work more in the long run (just like the tortoise). I found that I actually did feel better at the end of each day because normally I am waiting for a panic monster to come help me complete my tasks.
I’m planning on using this technique regularly in future and boost my daily life activities. I will also try to minimize my distractions, when using this technique. Hopefully, all of this will help me in making a better individual.
